If you’re like me, and get worried about spending too much time on big jobs, you can do it in little chunks of time, and after 3 or 4 chunks, you’ll really start to see a difference.
Education through decorating!.Baby pumpkins fit anywhere, always look cute, and are really quick and easy.. I’ve been trying to find some fall wreaths to put in my windows but I couldn’t find any that I liked so I just glued some indian corn from the grocery store to some grapevine wreaths and used those.
It only took 5 minutes out of my day to make them and they actually do have that nice harvesty feel like I was looking for in a store-bought wreath.. Draping a garland and a banner over this old window frame hanging here really had a nice effect for about a 45 second investment of my time!.I don’t even remember readjusting the lamp shade as I was taking these pictures, but it seems like it’s moving in every one!Just another little touch of imperfection around here!
Migrating geese, roosters, weather-vanes in general, they just all give off a fallish vibe so they got to stay right where they were! What could be faster or easier than that?
In the dining room, I just used some more baby pumpkins and some fake fall botanicals out of my bins in the basement, and suddenly the whole room was seasonally-appropriate!.
I’m pretty sure this whole room was fixed up on one 5-minute decorating break on one day.. See the way these catch the light and actually look better with sun shining through them?Putting something like double-sided tape where a cat will walk to get to your plants or flowers will work the same way as tin foil in that they’ll eventually just learn not to go there and you can remove it altogether.. Orange or Citrus Peels.
What a great way to use your leftover Christmas orange peels!Cats hate the smell, so placing them in or around your plants and flowers will keep the kitties away..
Decorative rocks or gravel. If you have trouble with your cats using the dirt in your plants as a litter box, the solution may be as easy as adding in some stones to cover the dirt so that they can’t dig.
